Overhead Transmission Lines

They are designed to meet specific requirements for solar installations, including resistance to UV radiation and extreme temperatures. They are made with materials that provide excellent insulation and protection against environmental factors, ensuring the long term reliability and safety of the solar power system.

Bare Copper Conductor

CONSTRUCTION

Conductor: Bare Copper
Soft annealed copper wires stranded in successive layers, in opposite direction, to form the copper stranded conductor, it can be circular or circular compacted.

AAC

CONSTRUCTION

AAC is the most favoured type for use in the construction of relatively short span distribution schemes and are in common use on lines for voltage up to 60 KV.

ACSR

CONSTRUCTION

The mixed construction of ACSR (Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced) offers significant flexibility from a design perspective. By varying the proportion of aluminum (H14) and steel, an ideal conductor can be produced for any specific application. Generally, ACSR consists of a galvanized steel core, which can be made up of 1, 7, or 19 wires, surrounded by concentric layers of aluminum wire. For applications requiring high current-carrying capacity with comparatively lower strength, special constructions with higher aluminum content are available.

ABC

CONSTRUCTION

Aerial Bundled Cables (ABC), also known as aerial bundled conductors, are overhead power lines consisting of several insulated phase conductors bundled tightly together. The conductors are made of aluminum and are insulated with XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) with 2.5% carbon black.

This category of cable is manufactured from aluminum conductors (H14) insulated with XLPE and assembled to form configurations of two (duplex), three (triplex), four (quadruplex), or more conductors.
